Thank you for using Kachaka. We are pleased to announce a software update for Kachaka.
[Software Version]
Ver 3.16.1
[Update Details]
[Pro] Add sensor-muted move actions to routines
You can now add move-forward and move-backward actions that run with the obstacle sensors muted to your routines. This enables automating motions that were previously difficult, such as passing through curtains or noren. For safety, these actions are not executed while Kachaka is on the charging dock.
[Pro] Configure auto-charging behavior near the dock
A new "Auto-charging near the dock" toggle has been added under "Automatically return to the charging dock" in the robot's detailed settings. This is useful for operations where you do not want Kachaka to start charging automatically when it is near the dock, for example after recovering from a power outage.
[Pro] Schedule a daily auto-restart for Kachaka
You can now configure Kachaka to automatically restart at a specified time each day. This helps keep Kachaka running stably during long, continuous operation.
[Pro] You can now configure an NTP server
Even in environments without internet access where Kachaka’s system time may drift, you can synchronize the time.
Other Major Improvements
- Improved the undock motion so that sufficient clearance is reserved based on the size of the shelf. The appropriate clearance is now maintained even when the surroundings are not fully visible to the sensors.
- Fixed an issue where Kachaka could place a piece of furniture on top of one that was already there when operated from the fleet.
- Added a setting under "Other Settings" to hide the software update notification that appears on first launch.
- [Pro] Improved the rendering speed of the "Preview routes on the map" screen so that all inter-location routes are displayed immediately.
- [Pro] On the screens that select a destination to move to from the map or destination list, you can now change the source location of the inter-location route.
